Jennifer Belshe stands out as an exceptional individual with a diverse background and a notable impact in both her professional and personal life. Our friendship began over coffee after I reached out to her upon moving to the area, having been an admirer of her vegan-inspired Instagram page – @UrbanRoam while living up north. Surprisingly, we discovered that we both hail from Massachusetts, a wicked cool connection that deepened our newfound friendship. Later, we had the pleasure of sitting next to one another at her partner,  Ric Standridge‘s Dark Side of the Moon Art Show together over the summer.

Jennifer, as a co-founder of Novus Advisors, holds key roles as a Principal, Investment Advisor, and a valuable member of the firm’s investment committee. Before her involvement with Novus Advisors, she garnered extensive experience in relationship and investment management within the personal trust administration and wealth management divisions of global and regional investment firms. Jennifer is an alumna of Wheaton College (Illinois), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Economics with a minor in Art. Her commitment to professional development is evident through her completion of Trust School and the CFP® professional certificate program at Boston University. As a licensed Investment Adviser Representative with Novus Advisors, she also holds a state Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License.

Jennifer’s professional accomplishments are numerous, with recognition for her impact in the workplace and community. Notable honors include being named one of Greenville Business Magazine’s Best and Brightest 35 and Under (2016), acknowledged by Upstate Business Journal as one of four women defining the future of banking and finance in Upstate, South Carolina (“Primed For Success,” 2019), and receiving the Eugenia Duke Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year award in 2020. Her accolades extend to the SC Women in Business award (Integrated Media Publishing, 2021), Forty Under 40 award (GSA Business Report, 2021), Women of Influence award (GSA Business Report, 2021), Forbes Next 1000 List (Forbes, 2021), and the Phenom award (SC Biz News, 2022).

Beyond her professional achievements, Jennifer is actively engaged in the community, contributing as a board member, taking on leadership roles, and supporting various local non-profit organizations. In her leisure time, she finds joy in art, travel, and quality moments spent with her son. Jennifer Belshe exemplifies a unique blend of expertise, leadership, and genuine dedication to making a positive impact both professionally and personally.

It’s safe to say she is quite a remarkable person and I am happy to be able to call her my friend.

In 1996, something happened that changed my life forever. And, in turn changed many other lives, too. At the time I was in college working toward my degree in Psychology & Criminology. The summer before my senior year of college I was hit head on by a drunk driver.
